IOD 2025 Holiday Release: Moulds

I love love love Iron Orchid Designs products. I’m sure that’s a shock to you! Since I’m not a stockist, I don’t have the new release at my fingertips like many of my creative friends do. So in an effort to keep a running list of ideas for myself (and something I can share with you), I decided to create this “brain dump” of all the things I envision creating with the IOD Holiday Release 2025 that I can give as gifts or sell (online or at the holiday craft show I’m prepping for). If you are interested in any of these limited release products, here is my affiliate link: https://www.juliesdesignsandsigns.com/?aff=12.

This section is all about the moulds! Here we go…

Saint Nick

OMG! Stop. Right. Now. I’m sooooo in love with this mould! I don’t even know how I will use it, but I have to have it!

  1. I think it would look awesome on a large cookie jar or tall canister of some kind. Or even on a vase or pitcher that you can use for a Christmas tree.

  2. I have a cover for the base of my tree that is wicker (I think it’s wicker… looks like a basket). I can see this mould on the front of that (or even on a basket now that I’m thinking of baskets!).

Snow Globes

This mould is more versatile than you might think. Or maybe you agree that it is!

  1. Of course this would be a perfect way to create snow globe ornaments. Once I have this in my hands I’m going to create a wood cutout that serves as a good base for the clay. (If you haven’t noticed, I don’t really use resin… I get bad reactions to the resin so I have just decided to stay away).

  2. Any chance you saw

  3. I’m really curious to see how the tree looks as a clay impression. The stamps have been so detailed in the last few releases, creating impressions in clay hasn’t really offered the same effect as some of the older stamps. I’m definitely NOT complaining! I love the detail. It’s just more trial and error when thinking of doing impressions.

Winter Forage

These elements are similar to some from past limited releases… however, I’m thrilled because I don’t have the release that includes those fir tree elements! I typically use the O Christmas Tree mould whenever I want to create that fir tree feel on my projects. I love that these look like branches!

  1. I envision these elements on ball ornaments, completely covering them, painted in a beautiful warm white with touches of gold or silver rub ‘n buff.

  2. I would love to embellish some candle holders with any of these elementary. Again, I would probably paint all one color and bring out the details with wax or rub n buff.

Victoriana

This bundle of accent pieces is adorable!

  1. While I don’t see myself using these individually on a piece, I think there are so many ways to layer these accents onto frames, the snow globe moulds or the Bibelots mould (1 and 2!).

  2. I love the tassels!! they would be perfect hanging down from the corner of a box or even a 5x7 frame.

Bibelots 2

I love when moulds are symmetrical so they can be cast twice and glued together, creating a stand-alone item rather than just an embellishment on another piece. Obviously these are perfect for ornaments (or cookies if you are a baker). But I would love to know… leave a comment with an idea for these that isn’t the obvious ornament. I would love some inspo!
